Before the meeting
WhisprNotes reads the calendars already on your Mac (iCloud, Google, Exchange, CalDAV) and taps you a minute before each call. One click joins it and starts the notes.
During the meeting
Jot a word or two, or nothing at all. The live transcript keeps up beside you, and you can ask what you missed without leaving the call.
After the meeting
When the call ends, recording stops by itself and the note is written. A playbook can draft the recap email and the action items for Reminders, then wait for your OK.
WhisprNotes Ask
Every note, meeting and dictation, searchable in plain words. Each answer shows where it came from. Offline, on your Mac and iPhone.
Dictation
Hold fn in any app, say it the way you’d say it, and let go. Clean text lands at your cursor almost instantly, on your Mac or in the iPhone keyboard.
Casual in Slack, formal in Mail, plain in your terminal. A mode for every app.
Select text and say “make this shorter”. It rewrites in place.
Say “camel case user id”, get userId.
Names and jargon spelled your way, in dictation and meetings.
WhisprNotes for iPhone · beta
Tap the mic on the WhisprNotes keyboard in any app and talk. Clean text lands in Messages, Mail or Slack.
Record a meeting, a class or a visit with a live transcript, then get the finished note, with no bot and no upload.
Ask your notes with sources, start recording from the Home Screen or Lock Screen, and keep the timer on the Dynamic Island.
Speech and AI run on your iPhone. Free, with its notes kept on it; with Pro they sync with your Mac.
Free · iOS 26 or later · Beta opens soon on TestFlight
Playbooks
Playbooks write what usually comes next: the recap, the action items, the clinical note. Drafted on your Mac, sent only when you say so.
After every meeting, after ones titled “1:1”, or when you say “send follow-ups”. Or only when you run it.
Each run waits in a review inbox. Approve it and it makes a Mail draft, adds action items to Reminders or runs a shortcut.
SOAP, APSO, H&P, DAP, BIRP, GIRP and PIRP notes, each line linked to the moment it was said, with ICD-10-CM suggestions to review. Visits never leave the Mac.
WhisprNotes MCP server
No more pasting transcripts into chat windows.
WhisprNotes comes with a local MCP server. Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP apps can search the notes and meetings in the folders you allow, read-only. It runs on your Mac with no API key, and connects in one click (or one command).
Works with
claude mcp add --scope user whisprnotes -- /Applications/WhisprNotes.app/Contents/MacOS/whisprnotes-mcpTurn it on in Settings › AI apps. Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Cursor connect in one click, and any other MCP app takes the config you copy from there. Shortcuts, Siri and Spotlight can start a meeting note or find a note too.
Privacy
Speech and AI run on your Mac and iPhone, and what you keep there stays there. Pro syncs your notes’ text, never audio. How we handle your data
WhisprNotes hears the call through your Mac. The people you meet see no bot and no extra guest.
Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack huddles, Webex, and the meeting at the table next to you.
Speech and AI run on your Mac or iPhone, so your audio never leaves it. Meeting audio is deleted once your note is written; dictation audio is kept for 14 days only if you turn that on. History is kept as long as you choose.
With Pro, the text of your notes and meetings syncs between your Mac and iPhone, encrypted at rest. Audio stays on the device that heard it.
Never your audio. Speech recognition runs on your device’s Neural Engine and the writing (cleanup, meeting notes, answers) uses Apple’s on-device model. The app signs in to your WhisprNotes account, downloads the speech models once from Hugging Face, and sends usage counts with no content in them. With Pro, the text of your notes and meetings syncs to your other devices through our servers, encrypted at rest. With Pro, anonymized synced text may help improve WhisprNotes unless you turn it off (off by default in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, and where we can’t tell). Never audio, voiceprints or clinical notes.
Yes, a free WhisprNotes account, made in the app with your email address. Free never needs a card. Your account knows your plan and, with Pro, carries your notes to your other devices.
It listens to your microphone and to the call’s audio on your Mac, so nothing joins the call. It works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack huddles, Webex and meetings in person, and the iPhone app records meetings in the room. The meeting audio becomes a transcript on your device and is deleted once your note is written. Check your local rules on recording and let people know you’re taking notes.
Meeting recordings are deleted as soon as the note is made. Dictation audio isn’t kept unless you turn on “Keep audio for 14 days” in Settings. For clinical notes you choose: delete once the note is made, or keep it until you sign the note off.
Hold one key in any app, speak, and let go. WhisprNotes removes filler words, understands corrections like “no wait”, formats lists and emails, and can use a different tone in each app. It also keeps a searchable history, learns your vocabulary, expands snippets and rewrites selected text by voice.
Transcription: English and 24 other European languages, including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch and Polish, on your device. Cleanup, meeting notes and Ask: the languages Apple Intelligence supports.
If you want them to. WhisprNotes includes a local MCP server that Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP apps can use to search your notes and meetings. It’s read-only and limited to the folders you allow in Settings.
A Mac with Apple silicon running macOS 26 or later, with Apple Intelligence turned on for cleanup, meeting notes and Ask. WhisprNotes asks for microphone access, Accessibility access (to type into other apps), calendar access if you want meeting reminders, and Reminders access if a playbook adds action items there. The iPhone app needs iOS 26 or later (iPhone 11 or newer, or iPhone SE (2nd generation) or newer); AI notes and Ask need an iPhone with Apple Intelligence.
Yes, free like the Mac app, and its beta opens soon on TestFlight: a dictation keyboard for any app, in-person meetings with a live transcript, Ask, widgets and a Live Activity. On Free its notes stay on your iPhone; with Pro they sync with your Mac.
Nothing. Free works on each device you sign in on, with everything kept on that device and no sync. Speech and AI run on your device with local models, so there’s nothing to meter and no usage limit. Pro ($15 a month, or $144 a year) syncs your notes and meetings across up to 10 devices, backs them up and adds share links. Pro opens soon. Join the beta list to hear when it does. The one part priced on its own is the clinician pack, per clinician; write to us about it. The pricing page has every plan.
Unlimited dictation, meetings, Ask and playbooks on your Mac and iPhone, with a free account. The models run on your device, so there’s nothing to meter.
